What is the ruling on insulting those whose lineage to the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon him) has been established in our time? And what is the sin of one who insults them compared to one who insulted the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon him) during his lifetime?

Our duty towards the Prophet's (peace be upon him) household (Ahl al-Bayt) is to love them, support them, honor them, and respect their rights. This includes their descendants up to our present day, among whom are the Imam rulers of Yemen, whose lineage to Banu Hashim has been established. This love and honor apply equally to those who lived during the Prophet's time and those who came after them, provided their lineage is authenticated. It is forbidden to insult a Muslim, and the sin is greater if the insulted person is from the Ahl al-Bayt, due to their kinship with the Prophet (peace be upon him). The sin further intensifies if the insulted person is from the Companions who are also from the Ahl al-Bayt, as they combine two rights: the right of companionship and the right of belonging to the Ahl al-Bayt.
