Does a divorce take effect if I intended my wife to leave for her family's house but she returned before reaching it?

If you intended to make your wife's divorce conditional upon her going to her parents' house, and she left the apartment and then returned without reaching it, then nothing is incumbent upon you because the oath was not broken. The basis of an oath is the intention of the swearer. So, if he intended by his oath something that it can bear, his oath is directed towards it, whether it conforms to the apparent meaning of the words or contradicts it.
