Is selling a mobile phone, whose internal components have been afflicted with impurity—bearing in mind that most people pray with their mobile phones in their clothes—considered lawful money?

If a person is certain that the internal parts of his phone have become impure (najis), then it is preferable to purify them. If washing the impure parts is not possible, then it is permissible to purify them by wiping, and this is the view of the Hanafis, the Malikis, and the choice of Ibn Taymiyyah. If the phone can be purified, then it is permissible to sell it. Otherwise, it is obligatory to inform the buyer of the impurity, and it is forbidden to conceal the defect. If the sale occurs with the concealment of the defect, the sale is valid, but sinful.
