What is the ruling on informing a friend about the actions of other people (watching pornography, using obscene language, slandering Muslim women) to find out the reason for distancing oneself from them, and is this considered backbiting and exposing them?

In Fatwa no. 141000, the ruling on backbiting an openly defiant transgressor (fasiq mujahir bi fisqihi) was mentioned. As for one who is not openly defiant, the general principle is to conceal their faults, forbid them from evil, and advise them gently and wisely. What was mentioned is not a justification for speaking ill of them.
