Scholars differ on the permissibility of a woman uncovering her face in front of non- men. The adopted by us is that it is not permissible. There is no blame on whoever acts upon the opinion of some scholars in matters where there is a difference of opinion. It is permissible, when there is a pressing need, to act upon a weaker opinion, for divergence of opinion is a mercy, and concessions are a mercy.
