Scholars differ on the permissibility of a woman uncovering her face in front of non-mahram men. The fatwa adopted by us is that it is not permissible. There is no blame on whoever acts upon the opinion of some scholars in matters where there is a difference of opinion. It is permissible, when there is a pressing need, to act upon a weaker opinion, for divergence of opinion is a mercy, and concessions are a mercy.
