Adultery is one of the gravest sins, and its punishment is severe: for the married, it is stoning to death, and for the unmarried, one hundred lashes. However, the door to repentance is open for the adulterer and others. The woman who committed adultery must repent sincerely, conceal herself with Allah's concealment, and not inform anyone of what occurred.
