Is looking at women a kind of hypocrisy?

There is no explicit evidence linking looking at non-mahram women to hypocrisy. However, abundant evidence confirms its prohibition and the obligation to lower one's gaze, as in the Almighty’s saying: "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do." The Prophet (peace be upon him) also commanded turning away one's gaze from a sudden glance.
