The answer

Educational expenses for girls are considered maintenance (nafaqa), and maintenance does not require equalization; rather, each is given according to her need, and this is justice in it. As for giving the other girls the same amount that the eldest receives, that is a gift (hiba), and it is not permissible to prefer one over another in a gift unless there is a legitimate reason. If death were to occur, and there was money for inheritance, it would be a help to them; otherwise, those upon whom their maintenance is obligatory would spend on them.
