What is the ruling on rewards given to university students who are absent from their lectures, and is it permissible to give charity from these rewards?

The Ministry of Higher Education or the university administration determines the ruling on academic stipends. If the regulations of the granting institution do not prevent the disbursement of the stipend even with the occasional absence of the student, then there is no harm in him taking it. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen issued a fatwa permitting the student to take the full stipend even if he is absent with the university's knowledge, because it is a stipend for being a student affiliated with the university and dedicating himself to seeking knowledge, and it is not a daily wage.
