Is it permissible for a father to refuse to marry his daughter to a young man who is religious, respectable, and financially comfortable, but is of "Nuri" origin?

If a father refuses to marry his daughter to a suitor without a legitimate Shariah reason, the girl has the right to take the matter to the Shariah court. If the guardian's obstruction (adhl) is proven, the judge will marry her off or appoint someone to do so.

If the girl chooses to forgo the marriage out of filial piety towards her father, that might be better for her.

All emotional relationships with a non-mahram young man must be severed until the marriage is concluded.
