Is every deed intended for the sake of Allah Almighty counted as a reward, such as praising a girl for her qualities to bring joy to her, or greeting her with the intention of Allah's pleasure?

Every legitimate action a person undertakes, intending thereby the countenance of Allah the Almighty, will be rewarded. This is based on the general prophetic saying: "Actions are but by intentions, and every person shall have but what he intended." This includes acts of devotion in themselves, and permissible actions if intended as a means of drawing closer to Allah. For example, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "And in the sexual act of one of you there is charity." Thus, sexual intercourse becomes an act of worship if one intends thereby to fulfill his wife's right, or to seek offspring, or to preserve his own chastity. Praising a girl, if done with the intention of encouraging her towards good, or as an example to be emulated, or to defend her honor, and accompanied by a righteous intention, will be rewarded, provided that there is no excessiveness in it or fear of temptation.
