If it is possible to rectify the lineage documents by communicating directly with your father or through an intermediary, do not file a lawsuit against him. However, if there is no way to rectify the documents except by filing a lawsuit, then there is no blame upon you for doing so. You must be keen to be dutiful and good to your father as much as possible, no matter his condition.
