Does Gabriel (peace be upon him) descend in circles of remembrance, and is the feeling of shivers in them evidence of his descent and his greeting upon those present?

It is established in authentic hadiths that angels encompass circles of remembrance (dhikr), but these hadiths do not mention Gabriel, peace be upon him, among them. Rather, some commentators on hadith stated that these are angels whose sole function is to attend circles of remembrance, whereas Gabriel has another function, which is to descend with revelation upon the Messengers. Gabriel informed the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, that God boasts to the angels about a group of Companions who sat remembering God.

It has not been reported that the presence of goosebumps in circles of remembrance is a sign of angels descending. However, some scholars have mentioned that feeling goosebumps and tenderness are times when supplications are answered.
