The answer

If the husband dies and his wife is pregnant, her ' (waiting period) ends when she delivers her entire pregnancy. If she is not pregnant, her 'iddah is four months and ten days. The 'iddah begins from the time of death and is calculated by lunar months. So, if the husband died on the 22nd of Sha'ban, the 'iddah would end on the 2nd of Muharram of the following year if Sha'ban had thirty days; otherwise, it would be on the 3rd of Muharram. The 'iddah ends at the same hour the husband passed away.
