The accepted, mutawatir recitations are ten, and each has two famous narrators, as follows:

1. Nafi‘ al-Madani: His narrators are Qalun and Warsh. 2. Ibn Kathir al-Makki: His narrators are Al-Bazzi and Qunbul. 3. Abu ‘Amr al-Basri: His narrators are Al-Duri and Al-Susi. 4. Ibn ‘Amir al-Shami: His narrators are Hisham and Ibn Dhakwan. 5. ‘Asim al-Kufi: His narrators are Shu‘bah and Hafs. 6. Hamzah al-Kufi: His narrators are Khalaf and Khallad. 7. Al-Kisa’i al-Kufi: His narrators are Abu Al-Harith and Al-Duri. 8. Abu Ja‘far al-Madani: His narrators are Ibn Wardan and Ibn Jammaz. 9. Ya‘qub al-Basri: His narrators are Ruwais and Rawh. 10. Khalaf al-Baghdadi: His narrators are Ishaq and Idris.

"Qira'ah" (recitation) refers to what is attributed to the reciter, "Riwayah" (narration) to what is attributed to the narrator from the Imam, and "Tariq" (path/way) to what is attributed to one who narrated from the narrator. Thus, there are ten mutawatir recitations and twenty famous narrations.
