How sound are the following hadiths: "The first thing Allah created was the light of your Prophet, O Jabir," and the saying of Allah the Almighty in the Hadith Qudsi: (When I desired to create creation, I took a handful of My light and said to it, 'Be Muhammad,' then from the light of Muhammad I created all things), and Allah's saying to Adam: (Were it not for Muhammad, I would not have created you)?

It is not permissible to attribute unauthentic traditions (hadiths) concerning the Prophet's virtues to the Prophet (peace be upon him) or to Allah. The authentic traditions are sufficient. Among these false hadiths are: "The first thing Allah created was the light of your Prophet, O Jabir," and "When I desired to create creation, I took a handful of My light and said to it: Be Muhammad, then I created all things from the light of Muhammad," and "Were it not for you, I would not have created the celestial spheres," and "Were it not for you, I would not have created Paradise, and were it not for you, I would not have created Hell," and "Were it not for you, I would not have created the world." Similarly, the hadith about Adam's intercession through Muhammad (peace be upon him) is very weak or fabricated.
