What is the ruling on money earned from filming and publishing video clips of the daily lives of individuals and families, which may include filming women not adhering to the Shar’i dress code, or filming children and homes, or displaying private family matters? Is this earning considered unlawful?

There is no objection to earning from publishing videos if they are permissible and their advertisements are permissible. As for documenting family life matters, it involves several harms, including: imitating disbelievers, lack of modesty, filming women revealing what is not permissible, exposing details of homes which are private, boasting about possessions, exposing oneself to envy and the evil eye, and exposing secrets to future taunts. Based on these harms, this type of documentation is forbidden, and earning from it is also forbidden.
