The answer

Contemporary Fiqh Academies have unanimously agreed on the impermissibility of all types of commercial insurance, due to the excessive (uncertainty/risk) it involves, which leads to unjustly consuming people's wealth. The fact that the companies operating these insurances deal with interest-based banks further increases its impermissibility. Your father must immediately cease working and dispose of any remaining money from it. As for what he spent in the past on his needs, we hope that there will be nothing held against him if he repents. He is permitted to continue working if he cannot find another job that suffices him and his family, on condition that he diligently seeks a permissible job and disposes of any money exceeding his needs. Purchasing a home for someone who cannot afford to rent is considered a necessity. You are permitted to eat from your father's wealth to the extent of your need if your salary is insufficient and you are unable to find another job.
