What is the ruling on a wife repeatedly asking for divorce, and what are the consequences of a husband saying to her, "You are divorced," with the intention of discipline, or conditioning divorce upon a certain condition?

A woman is not permitted to seek divorce without a Shari'i ( শরীয়াহ-সম্মত ) excuse, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Any woman who asks her husband for divorce without any strong reason, the scent of Paradise will be forbidden to her." And the husband's saying "You are divorced" is an explicit and effective divorce. As for conditioning divorce on the caller ( المتصل ), it is not effective if the condition is not met. Divorce pronounced during anger is considered effective if the husband is aware of what he is saying. This divorce takes effect if it is within the 'iddah (waiting period) or after reconciliation. However, if the 'iddah expires without reconciliation, the wife becomes irrevocably separated (تبين), and no new divorce can affect her, nor does she become lawful for him except with a new marriage contract. Therefore, it is necessary to consult a Shari'a court or scholars to determine the number of valid divorces. If the divorces have not reached three, she can be reconciled before the expiration of the 'iddah or with a new contract after the expiration of the 'iddah.
