Is it obligatory for one who slaughters his sacrificial animal (hady) before the day of Eid to repeat it?

If someone slaughters their sacrificial animal (hady) before the day of Eid, and their action was out of imitation or adherence to the fatwa of a scholar who permits it, then they are not required to repeat it. However, if they slaughtered it out of negligence and without knowledge or imitation, they must repeat it, because it is not permissible to slaughter the hady of Tamattu' and Qiran except from the day of Eid and thereafter. The proof for this is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not exit his state of ihram until he slaughtered his hady on the day of Eid, and he said: "Indeed, I have the hady with me, so I shall not exit ihram until I slaughter."
