Is it permissible for someone who slaughtered their sacrificial animal (udhiyah) after the Eid prayer and after the Imam slaughtered his, to keep its meat in the refrigerator until the fifteenth of Dhul-Hijjah or beyond, with or without an excuse?

The sacrifice is valid if it is slaughtered after the Imam's slaughter, based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "The first thing we do on this day of ours is to begin with the prayer, then we return and offer the sacrifice. Whoever does that has followed our Sunnah. And whoever slaughters before that, it is merely meat he has brought forward for his family and is not part of the sacrifice at all." It is recommended for the sacrificer to eat a third of his sacrifice, gift a third, and give a third in charity, though it is permissible for him to eat most of it. There is no harm in delaying the distribution, though it is preferable to hasten it.
