What is the ruling on someone who hears the muezzin conclude the Adhan by saying, "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet," must he then send blessings upon the Prophet?
If one hears the mention of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he must invoke blessings upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The miser is he in whose presence I am mentioned and he does not invoke blessings upon me," and he said: "May the nose of a man be rubbed in dust, in whose presence I am mentioned and he does not invoke blessings upon me," and "The people closest to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who invoke the most blessings upon me." As for adding a verse after the completion of the , this was not from the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, nor his companions. It is rejected based on his, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours something that does not belong to it, it is rejected."
