Are we held accountable, in a Shar'i sense, for violations in the posts on a Facebook application designed for our company's advertising, whose content is difficult to control?

Bringing joy to a Muslim and jesting with them is permissible if it is based on truth and sincerity. Jokes and anecdotes are permissible if they are free from religious prohibitions, such as mocking religion or people, or if they do not contain obscenity, provided that excessive indulgence in them does not distract from what is beneficial. Lying to make people laugh is forbidden, in accordance with the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Woe to him who tells a story and lies to make people laugh thereby. Woe to him, woe to him."

Accordingly, it is permissible to create a joke application if it adheres to Islamic guidelines; otherwise, it is better to abandon it. It can be replaced with a beneficial cultural application that includes anecdotes from heritage.
