How can one differentiate between vaginal discharge and semen, and does constant seminal discharge necessitate ghusl?

Semen is a viscous fluid that exits forcefully and intensely during arousal, whether awake or asleep. It alone necessitates ghusl (definition) (ritual bath). Other vaginal discharges, such as madhy (pre-ejaculate) or wady (post-urination discharge), do not necessitate ghusl. A woman's semen is often thin and yellow, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "A man's fluid is thick and white, and a woman's fluid is thin and yellow. Whichever precedes the other, the child will resemble it."
