Is it permissible to give female sisters from Zakat money as 'Eidiya (a gift given on Eid)?

It is not permissible to give 'Eidiya (a gift of money given on Eid) from zakat money, because zakat must be given to the eight categories mentioned in the Qur’an. If you wish to give your sisters 'Eidiya, it should be from your personal money. However, if they are poor and you are not their primary provider, then it is permissible for you to give them zakat, and you will receive the reward for upholding kinship ties and for giving charity.
