What is the ruling on leaving a fetus with a severe heart deformity without medical intervention, knowing that this will lead to its death a few days after birth, and that the other two children are afflicted and require care and operations?

It is not permissible to abort a fetus, for it constitutes an aggression against a soul coming into the world to worship Allah. It is not permissible to cause the destruction of a child. As for saving it, that is a religious obligation and one of the greatest acts of nearness [to Allah], in accordance with the Almighty’s saying: "And whoever saves a life - it is as though he had saved all mankind."
