What is the ruling on voluntary fasting for someone who had a wet dream and completed the ejaculation through foreplay? And is he required to make up that day?

Masturbation is forbidden, as Allah Almighty says: "And those who guard their private parts Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed." Masturbation invalidates the fast, unlike a wet dream. The actual emission of semen is considered masturbation that invalidates the fast. For someone who breaks a voluntary fast, there is no obligation to make up for it according to the Shafi'i and Hanbali schools, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The one who fasts voluntarily is the master of himself; if he wishes, he fasts, and if he wishes, he breaks his fast." However, making it up is considered good. In contrast, the Hanafis and Malikis hold the view that it is obligatory to complete and make up for a voluntary fast if it is broken.
