The name 'Eve' (Ḥawāʾ) is not mentioned in the Holy Quran, but it is found in the authentic Prophetic . On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Were it not for the Children of Israel, meat would not rot; and were it not for Eve, no female would ever betray her husband."
