Is it permissible to inform people about good deeds with the intention of thanking God, while fearing their praise, and how can one reconcile concealing good deeds with speaking of God’s bounty?

Speaking of Allah's blessings is commendable if it is for the purpose of attributing favor to Allah and thanking Him, or to be a role model for others. However, if it is intended for self-praise, showing off, or seeking reputation, then it is blameworthy. If a Muslim speaks of Allah's blessings in a permissible way and people praise him for it and he is pleased by that, without him seeking to show off, then this is an immediate good tidings for him.
