Is it better to go by car to a mosque where there is a funeral on Friday to obtain the reward for attending the funeral, or to walk for the virtue of Friday and forgo the funeral, knowing that combining both is not possible?

Walking to the mosque is encouraged and is better than riding for those who are able. Attending a funeral until the prayer is performed and the burial takes place holds great good and reward, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever attends a funeral until he prays over it will have one qirat, and whoever attends until it is buried will have two qirats." It was asked, "What are the two qirats?" He replied, "Like two great mountains." Combining going to Friday prayer with attending a funeral is more virtuous than merely walking to Friday prayer while missing the reward of praying over the deceased, because in the former case, one earns the reward of going [to the mosque] in addition to the reward of Friday prayer and the funeral, whereas in the latter case, the reward of the funeral is missed.
