The answer

A Muslim is required to give testimony, and it is not permissible to conceal it. However, if the grandmother refrains from testifying due to uncertainty, that is safer, or if others among the witnesses know about the rights, or if there is a possibility that the jewelry belongs to the deceased's wife, or out of fear for one's honor, property, life, or family. Testimony becomes obligatory if the witness fears the loss of others' rights should they not testify. Therefore, the grandmother should give her testimony for the sake of Allah the Almighty if she is certain and does not fear for herself, her property, her honor, or her family. This is especially emphasized if the property is related to the rights of orphans.
