Is a young man who prays, fasts, and frequents the mosque, yet commits fornication, watches pornography, and openly boasts about it, fit for marriage? Can these negative aspects be overlooked? And will he cease committing fornication after marriage?

It is not permissible to marry an individual who openly declares their transgressions, because religious compatibility is a significant consideration in marriage, and a transgressor is not compatible with a chaste woman. The Qur'an explicitly prohibits the chaste from marrying an adulterer or an adulteress, and this extends to all evildoers. This individual must demonstrate sincere repentance before marriage, which is difficult to ascertain. Therefore, it is advisable to completely avoid him.
