Is it permissible to supplicate for the divorce of a married man and his return to the supplicator, along with supplicating for his wife that Allah compensate her with someone better than him, or is there another supplication that can be used to bring this man back?

The man's family erred by forcing him to marry someone he did not want, as the marriage contract requires the consent of both parties. It is not permissible to pray for a woman's divorce from her husband, as this is an transgression in supplication, a sin, and a severance of ties, due to the destruction of families it entails. You can pray that Allah marries you to this man, whether his wife remains with him or divorces him. However, it is more appropriate to ask Allah to marry you to someone who will bring you happiness and who will be good for you in this world and the Hereafter, without specifying a particular person, because you do not know if he is good for you or not. For, "But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you."
