Is money earned from real estate brokerage permissible or forbidden if the person stole from his father and brothers to charge his phone and communicate with real estate offices? Can it become permissible by confessing to his father and brothers? Must he inform them that he has made a profit?

The thief is obligated to repent to Allah and return the stolen goods to their owners or seek their absolution. It is not mandatory for him to inform them of what he did with the goods. The theft does not affect his other projects. The crucial point is to free oneself from the stolen wealth by returning it to its owners so that one's liability is cleared and one's wealth becomes lawful. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The hand is responsible for what it took until it returns it," and he also said: "Whoever has wronged his brother concerning his honor or anything else, let him seek his absolution today before there are no dinars or dirhams."
