Is it incumbent upon a girl suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and striving to overcome it to inform a suitor of her condition, knowing that informing him might impede her recovery, and what are the flaws that a suitor must be made aware of?

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is treated by remembrance of Allah (dhikr), obedience, and disregarding the obsessive thoughts. It may also require consulting a psychiatrist. The preponderant opinion is that any defect that prevents the realization of the purpose of marriage and causes one spouse to be repulsed by the other must be disclosed, and it establishes the option of annulment. If the obsessive thoughts prevent the wife from attending to her husband's needs and cause him aversion, she is obliged to inform him. However, if it does not affect her marital life and does not cause him aversion, she is not obliged to inform him.
