ما هي الأخطاء التي ينبغي تجنبها عند الذهاب إلى مزدلفة؟
Sheikh Muhammad bin Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, summarizes the common mistakes made when departing from Arafat to Muzdalifah and spending the night there, as follows:
1. Excessive Speed: This causes accidents and disturbances, whereas the Sunnah is tranquility. 2. Stopping before Muzdalifah: This leads to missing the stay there, which is obligatory according to the majority of scholars. 3. Praying on the Road: The Sunnah is to delay Maghrib and Isha and combine them in Muzdalifah. 4. Delaying Prayer beyond its Time: It is not permissible to delay Maghrib and Isha prayers beyond the time for Isha under the pretext of reaching Muzdalifah. One must pray within its prescribed time in any case. 5. Praying Fajr before its Time: It is not permissible to pray Fajr before its time enters. One must ensure the time has entered before praying. 6. Departing from Muzdalifah before Staying: It is a mistake for someone to merely pass through Muzdalifah. The Sunnah is to stay there until the Fajr prayer and to supplicate at Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram until dawn breaks. The weak are permitted to depart at night after the moon sets. 7. Reviving the Night of Muzdalifah with Qiyam (night prayer) and Dhikr (remembrance): The Sunnah is to sleep after the Isha prayer and wake up for Fajr. 8. Remaining in Muzdalifah until Sunrise: This contradicts the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace be upon him, who departed before sunrise, and it resembles the polytheists.
