When a woman leaves her home or is in the presence of non- men, it is obligatory for her to observe the شرعي (Shar'i) . The Shari'a has not specified a particular type of clothing for this, but rather has laid down conditions that must be met by it. Similarly, the Shari'a has not stipulated a specific color for the hijab. Thus, it is permissible for a woman to go out in colored clothes, provided that their colors or patterns are not provocative or eye-catching.
