Which covenant and promise are meant in the saying: "And I am upon Your covenant and Your promise as much as I am able"?

"And I am on Your covenant and Your promise as much as I am able" is part of the master supplication for seeking forgiveness (Sayyid al-Istighfar). It has two meanings that do not contradict each other: 1. The covenant: Acknowledging God's Lordship and Oneness, as occurred at the origin of creation. And the promise: What God has promised regarding entry into Paradise for whoever dies without associating anything with Him and fulfills what has been enjoined upon them. 2. The covenant: Belief in God and sincere obedience to Him to the best of one's ability. And the promise: Certainty in what God has promised concerning reward and recompense.

This indicates the servant's commitment to God's commands and their belief in His promise, as well as their admission of helplessness and shortcomings in fully fulfilling God's rights, and that obedience is according to one's ability.
