There is no harm in a Muslim asking his Lord for all his needs, as long as it does not involve sin or breaking kinship ties. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Let one of you ask his Lord for all his needs, even asking Him for the shoelace of his sandal if it breaks."

Accordingly, praying for increased height is permissible if the person is still in the growth phase. However, after growth is complete, it should not be done, because Allah has established matters according to fixed cosmic laws, so one should not ask for something that contradicts these laws.

There is no harm in asking for a swift answer. Among the Prophet's supplications, peace be upon him, was: "O Allah, grant us rain that brings relief, is wholesome and fertile, quickly and not belatedly..."
