What is the ruling on delaying the payment of Zakat if the inherited money is designated for marriage, and the heir cannot fully dispose of it except when the need for marriage arises?

Zakat on wealth must be paid immediately once it is owned and reaches the nisab. Its obligation does not cease by delaying it for any reason, even if the delay is due to entrusting the money to one's mother for safekeeping, as Zakat is a debt that does not lapse with time. If years have passed on the wealth, Zakat must be paid for all those years. If the heirs were minors at the time of the father's death, the guardian was obliged to pay the Zakat. If the guardian failed to do so, it must be paid for all the preceding years.
