What is the ruling on a person who claims to heal with the Qur'an and to harness Muslim jinn, and asks for the name of the questioner and his mother to inform him of his condition, and what is the ruling on one who asks him for ruqyah or information about the future?

It is not permissible to seek the help of jinn, even if it appears to be for good causes, due to the many corruptions that result from it. Neither the Prophet (peace be upon him) nor the righteous predecessors were ever reported to have done so. Scholars have unequivocally disliked seeking the help of jinn and considered it a sign of charlatans. It is advisable to stay away from anyone who claims to treat illnesses by seeking the help of jinn, as this may be akin to mixing poison with honey. Whoever comes to a soothsayer or diviner and believes him has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad (peace be upon him), and whoever comes to him and asks him about something, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights.
