Love of Allah Almighty is the foundation of religion and obligatory upon every human being. Believers have the strongest love for Allah, and whoever loves something other than Allah as much as they love Allah has set up a rival to Allah. Love for the Messenger, peace be upon him, is also obligatory, for he said: "None of you believes until I am more beloved to him than his father, his child, and all people." Love for Allah must be greater than love for anything else, for He is the Creator, the Provider, and the Bestower of blessings. As for what a sleeping person sees, they are not held accountable for it, as the pen is lifted from them until they awaken.
