When is the human soul stronger than Satan?

The soul's piety against Satan is achieved by striving against him, seeking refuge from him, and adhering to the law of Allah.

As for the evil soul, it is a tool for Satan, through which he enters man and incites it to evil, as stated in the verse: "Indeed, the soul is a persistent inciter of evil, except for what my Lord has mercy upon. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."

And if the soul, which Satan has seized, awakens by the grace of Allah or due to a divine inspiration, it becomes a good soul.

So, the soul is like a millstone that grinds whatever is put into it. Allah is its sustainer. He has appointed for it an angel who casts into it what benefits it, and a devil who casts into it what harms it.
