What is the ruling on not giving money to a father who asks his children for money, even though his income is better than theirs, and he possesses what suffices him and exceeds his needs, and he gives to one of his children to the exclusion of others, while the children being asked are in need of this money for their young children?

"Righteousness towards parents is one of the greatest acts of closeness [to Allah], for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'The pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of the parent, and the displeasure of the Lord is in the displeasure of the parent,' and he also said: 'The parent is the middle gate of Paradise.' So, strive to be righteous towards your father and earn his pleasure. If your father is self-sufficient, you are not obligated to give him money. If the father gives your sister money due to her need, there is no harm in that. However, if it is a preference for her without a valid reason, it is not permissible, for justice among children in giving is obligatory."
