What is the ruling on one who has delayed the expiation for oaths he made for over a year, hoping to find work so he can expiate with money instead of fasting, given his ability to fast and the frequency of his oaths?

Whoever breaks an oath must offer expiation according to their circumstances. If they delay the expiation due to hardship, they may expiate by feeding the poor, clothing them, or freeing a slave. Fasting is also sufficient, as it was obligatory upon them at the time of breaking the oath.
