What is the ruling on selling or destroying distracting tools that have caused the neglect of religious duties?

I praise Allah that He alerted you to wasting time in idleness, and be careful when dealing with these devices. If you fear falling into idleness again, then get rid of the television by selling it or gifting it to someone who uses it for permissible things, and get rid of the PlayStation by selling it or gifting it to someone who has children whom he supervises while they play. It is not permissible to sell or gift these devices to someone who uses them for disobedience, because that would be assisting him in it.
