Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to enter the mosque to listen to religious lessons in the passageway designated for worshippers, knowing what was narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) regarding a menstruating woman not entering the mosque?

It is forbidden for a menstruating woman, a woman in post-natal bleeding (nifas), and a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) to stay in a mosque, even if it is to attend religious lessons, based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "I do not permit the mosque for a menstruating woman or a person in a state of major ritual impurity." However, a menstruating woman is permitted to pass through the mosque for a temporary need without staying there. If there is an annexed place to the mosque not designated for prayer, such as a corridor or a waiting room, there is no harm in sitting there, as the prohibition applies only to the place designated for prayer.
