What is the ruling on female students secretly taking the blankets designated for them from the university dormitory's storeroom, after the administration withheld them and did not distribute them for a full year?

If the donating entity has entrusted the administration with the discretion to distribute the bedspreads whenever and to whomever it wishes, then it is not permissible to take these bedspreads stealthily. They must be returned unless the responsible authority agrees otherwise. Otherwise, they must be returned to the storage facility, even through indirect means, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The hand is responsible for what it takes until it returns it."
