Is it Islamically permissible to force a young virgin into marriage?

Scholars are unanimous on the permissibility for a father to marry off his virgin, minor daughter—who has not reached puberty—to a suitable man without seeking her permission or consent. The basis for this consensus is that Abu Bakr married off Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when she was six years old, and he did not consult her.
