The attribute of prophethood will not cease for Jesus, peace be upon him, after his descent; rather, he will remain a prophet. However, he will not come with a new law, but will rule according to the of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as indicated by the saying: "How will you be when the son of Mary descends among you, and your Imam is from among you?" The meaning of "your Imam is from among you" is that he will rule by the Book of Allah and the of His Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
